Went on our annual jaunt to fayre oaks sale with my mother and Alison. Decided this year to take the horsebox and stay onsite as had ponies to take to wales and also back to scotland.
It was fantastic staying in the showfield and enjoying the atmosphere.
Alison and I purchased the lovely Section A filly foal Kudos Contessa(Pinky), she is by Rosegarth Pioneer out of Kudos Catrin.
Looking forward to showing this lovely filly.

Took Rosedust Little Fairygold(Fuzzy) and Goldenwood Madonna(maddy) along to this nice show.
Fuzzy won her class and went M & M champion and Maddy was 2nd in her class.

Went along to one of our local shows today,the weather was very wet and didn't let up for most of the day.
Took Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara) and Rosedust Fairytale(Tally),they both won their classes,then Lara went M & M champion then went Reserve Supreme of the Show.

Took Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara) and Mosscombe Columbine(Cora) along to the first showing show held at this Equestrian Centre.
Lara won the youngstock class and went champion of her section.Cora also won the coloured championship.
Both ponies were now into Supreme of show.I showed Lara and Alison showed Cora. Was very happy that Lara was called forward Reserve Supreme of show to a lovely Riding Horse.

Set off on friday afternoon with 3 ponies. Rosedust Little Fairygold(Fuzzy),Goldenwood Madonna(Maddy) and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara). Stabled them at alisons yard for night.
Set off very early for Scottish Horse with 4 ponies. All the ponies did us proud against top welsh and english producers. Maddy and Fuzzy were 2nd,Lara was 3rd and Daisy was 1st.Spent the rest of day watching HOYS classes.
Spent another enjoyable night at Alison's yard in lorry with a lovely meal and a few drinks.
Set off at a more decent hour on Sunday for Scottish All welsh Silver Medal Show,Fuzzy won her Section B barren mare class,Lara was 2nd in yearling section B class and Maddy won her class and went Reserve overall Section B to Duntarvie Anthony.Alison's pony Daisy was 2nd and Reserve Overall Section C.
Maddy,Fuzzy and Daisy won their respective Home Produced Classes,Daisy went Champion Youngstock,Fuzzy went Champion Adult and in the overall Home Produced Fuzzy got the nod over Daisy.
So all in all a very successful weekend.

Had another good day,took 4 ponies today which proved to be very hectic.Mosscombe Columbine(Cora) won her coloured non native In hand class then went coloured champion.Rosedust Fairytale(Tally) won a very strong small M & M 4 year old class and was 4th in her riding pony in hand class.Hoekhorst Sweet Sympony (Susie) also won her 2 & 3 year old M & M class and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara) was 3rd in yearling class after not settling.

Our tour of the shows continued,after staying at Alison's yard on friday night we set of for the last leg on our tour.
maddy won her small breeds 2 & 3 year old class and went Reserve Youngstock Champion and won trophy for highest welsh within the section.
Fuzzy won a very strong large Small Breeds mare/gelding class,so was delighted with my girls and headed home after 8 days away. Ponies now on 2 week holiday before Scottish Horse and scottish All welsh Shows.

Travelled up on thursday from Royal Welsh and stabled at kelso racecourse on Thursday night.Ponies again settled well.
Up early friday morning to drive the 10 minutes to showfield.
Had a very dissappointing day,both ponies getting 4th in their classes.Definately not the judges type.
After a 2 years absence from attending the Royal Welsh,we decided to use this as our annual holiday. We set of at 8pm on Friday night with Rosedust Little Fairygold(Fuzzy),Goldenwood Madonna(Maddy) and Alison's Merieston Daisy Duke.The ponies had a couple of days to recover from their journey and recoup.
Daisy was 18th in a massive Section C yearling filly class, Maddy was 14th in the section B 3 year old filly class but had dropped a fair bit of weight as had not been eating.
Fuzzy wasn't on till wednesday,by then weather and ground conditions had deterioted very badly.
She was a total star and was 3rd in a very large section B Barren mare class.What a star this pony is.
Maddy was plaited up for the riding pony breeding class and was 4th and Reserve Champion for best Welsh pony within Section.
All in all had a fantastic show but was sadly marred by the death of my auntie Jo.

Well after a forecast for a very wet day,we were very lucky and it stayed dry.
Took 3 ponies Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie),Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara) and Mosscombe Columbine(Cora).
First in was Lara and she won a Strong M & M yearling class then susie won her class,went champion small M & M,then overall M & M.
Cora was 2nd in both her hunter pony and coloured classes.
Susie went into a very strong well attended supreme champion of show and to my utter amazement she was called forward SUPREME OF SHOW,then went forward against the champion clydesdale and was called forward supreme again.

After another early start,set off for our second show of the weekend.
Set off with 2 of my ponies Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie) and Mosscombe Columbine(cora) and Alison's section C filly Merieston Daisy Duke(daisy).
First up was daisy she won her C/D youngstock class and went Reserve Champion C/D.
Susie won her A/B youngstock class and was Champion A/B and finally Cora was 2nd and Reserve Champion Coloured to RHS winner Solaris Dwenga.
Susie went forward to the supreme of show with 10 quality champions from the day forward and I was so happy when she was called forward Supreme of Show.
Quite an achievement for a 2 year old getting a Reserve Supreme and a Supreme at 2 shows on the same weekend.

Had a fantastic day competing at my local Agricultural show,Goldenwood Madonna(maddy)got plaits in for the first time this year and she won the riding pony in hand championship.Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie) was overall M & M In hand champion.
Both ponies were forward for Supreme of show where to my amazement Maddy was called forward supreme and susie reserve supreme. What a day!!!

Went on our annual holiday to RHS.Travelled down on thursday afternoon with Rosedust Little Fairygold(fuzzy),Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie) and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara).
First up on friday morning was fuzzy who won a strong section section B mare/gelding with 11 ponies forward.Lara was 2nd in the hunter pony yearling class but missed her welsh yearling class which was very dissappointing.
Susie was a very creditable 3rd to the champion and reserve of the section.
The rest of the holiday was spent watching classes and socialising.

Well the weather was not very kind today,with several torrential downpours.Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony (susie) was champion in the welsh A/B section.
Mosscombe Columbine was 2nd in the open In hand coloured class.

Today surpassed all expectations,Goldenwood Madonna(Maddy) was Champion in large quality filled Mountain and moorland section,then went onto be supreme Native pony and Supreme In Hand of Show. Mosscombe Columbine (Cora) was Champion in a quality coloured In Hand section.

Well today i celebrated my 40th birthday by taking my mother's unshown 4 year old coloured mare Mosscombe Columbine(Cora) to her first ever show.
She won her in hand non native class and went coloured Champion and also won her Part Bred M & M class,so a very good day.

Well decided this year to finally do this show left at 4am,took 3 hours 15 mins to get there.it rained constant all day and we had to get towed out to go home.
my result was below par but bad decision on my behalf on my choice of ponies to put under the judge.
Both Goldenwood Madonna and Rosedust Fairytale were 4th in their classes but both qualified for Nation Welsh Championships at Shrewsbury

It is extremely disappointing that this show has had to cancel due to lack of entries.
I have Mosscombe Columbine, a 4 year old mare by Harroway Mr Harlequin on loan from my mother for season. She is unshown to date but look forward to contesting coloured classes with her during the season.

Had another very successful day. Rosedust fairytale won her 4 year old section B class then went adult section B champion.She was also 2nd in her members class.
Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony was 2nd in 2/3 year old class,was reserve champion B youngstock and reserve overall section B,she also won her members class.
Goldenwood Showgirl had a great day also winning both the section B yearling and members classes.

Well we have spent the last 7 months converting the lorry we bought in to a horsebox.It arrived back from the spray shop the other night.So Goldenwood ponies will travel in luxury this year.link below is too photos of whole conversion through the different stages.

I have leased Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony (Susie) for 2009 show season from my mother. She is a 2 year old welsh section B imported from Holland.here are a couple of photos from today after her makeover.

My 2009 show season got of to a fantastic start at the Royal Northern Spring Show.
My dear friend Alison took me and my 2 ponies to the show till my new lorry is up and running.
Goldenwood Madonna(Maddy) and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara) both won their respective M & M classes and in a very strong championship Alison got the Championship with Maddy and to my amazement also I got Reserve Champion with Lara.
What a day!!
