ADWPCEG Winter Show - 7th November

Took Paddock Dianthus(Di) and Kudos Contessa(Pinky)along to my first winter show of season.
Pinky won her Section A yearling class and went yearling Champion.
Di was on top form again and won her class and went Adult Champion.

Another New Purchase - Locksley Donatella Versace

We are so excited about purchasing this lovely filly foal by Northlight Galliano out of Rotherwood Wild Snowdrop.She will be getting picked up from Fayre Oaks.

NPS Finals Blair Castle - 27th August

Today was my final summer show of 2010.It was my last show with Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony before she headed off for her new home. She obliged and made it a winning one in a strong small breeds youngstock class and going onto to Reserve Champion Youngstock.
Paddock Dianthus was 3rd in another strong class.
Ponies are now on their holidays and I now look forward to the new arrivals.

Kinross Agricultural show & Scottish All Welsh Silver Medal Show

Another fantastic weekend showing.Set off early saturday morning for Kinross Show with 3 ponies Paddock Dianthus(Di),Hoekhorst sweet Symphony(Susie)and Kudos Contessa(Pinky).
First up was pinky and susie in youngstock class where pinky beat susie then Di was 2nd in adult small breeds.Pinky then took the Mountain and Moorland championship.
Set off to stable overnight near Lanark,all ponies were very settled in their new stables and several other aberdonian's were stabled there.
Sunday morning we set off for the 15 minute drive to show. Pinky was 4th in a very strong Section A yearling filly class,susie and Di both won their welsh B classes and susie went champion getting her WPCS Silver Medal then went Reserve Overall In Hand of the Show.
Di also did the Home Produced class which she was 1st then went Champion Adult then Overall Home Produced.
My ponies really did me so proud over the weekend.

New Purchases

There have been a few changes in last few days,I have sold Goldenwood Showgirl and she will be leaving for her new home very soon.
I have decided to purchase the lovely mare Paddock Dianthus from Brian Fotheringham which I had on lease this year.
Rosedust Cherry Blossom will also be joining the stud in October when she is weaned.She is a lovely Section B bay filly foal by Eyarth Tacoma out of Bannut Cherished Light.
I have also made a joint purchase with Alison Walker in the lovely black section C filly foal Crugybar Black Lady.
My final purchase for this year is the lovely Section B Dun yearling filly Duntarvie Dreamcatcher.I hope this filly will have a tremendous future in front of her.

Rosedust Cherry Blossom

Perth Agricultural Show - 6th August

Hadn't attended Perth show for 3 years but decided to take ponies this year. Paddock Dianthus(Di) continued her winning ways and won her class and went Reserve Champion in an extremely strong Championship,Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie) was 3rd in a good 2/3 yr old class.Despite the heavy rain showers,had a very enjoyable day.

Turriff Agricultural Show - 1st August

Well it was a wet miserable muddy day but successful.Paddock Dianthus(Di) won a very strong small breeds barren mare class then went Champion of the section.Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(Susie) was 1st in 2/3 yr old small breeds class and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara) was 3rd in Riding Pony In hand class but missed her hunter pony class.

Banchory Agricultural Show - 31st July

Took Rosedust Fairytale(Tally) and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara)today, both ponies were 3rd in their M & M classes then Tally was plaited for Riding pony In hand class and was 1st and Reserve Champion.

Royal Welsh Show 19th - 22nd July

Set of at 8pm on friday night for our annual holiday to Royal Welsh with Paddock Dianthus,Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony,Kudos Contessa and Alison's Rosedust Black Viola.
Ponies all travelled well and were settled in their stables by early saturday morning.
We spent the next few days relaxing and watching judging.
Weather and ground conditions very much had deterioted by wednesday,Di was first in and was 9th in a strong class, pinky was next up in a massive yearling class,she didn't make the cut but was great experience for her.
Thursday morning saw the judging of section B youngstock,Alison was in first with Viola who hated the conditions and finished out of the placings.Susie was next up in a very strong 3 year old filly class and I was very pleased to be placed 8th.
All in all we had a fab week and roll on 2011.

Echt Agricultural Show - 10th July

Had another successful day,took 3 ponies which made it a bit busy,hence why hardly any photos.
Paddock Dianthus(Di) was 1st in a strong small breeds barren mare and went Reserve Champion.Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(Susie) also won her class and Kudos Contessa(Pinky) was 2nd.

Fettercairn Agricultural Show - 3rd July

This was my first year as horse convenor,so I was busy on tannoy keeping classes running smoothly.
Roy showed Paddock Dianthus(Di),she won her Riding Pony In Hand class(first time with plaits in)then she won Barren mare class,Champion Small Breeds and Overall M & M.

Royal Highland Show - 24th/27th June

Set off on thursday for our annual holiday to Royal Highland,ponies settled in well in their stables.
Friday morning saw Kudos Contessa(Pinky)in first,she was a very creditable 4th in Section A yearling class.
Paddock Dianthus(Di) and Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(Susie) were 2nd and 3rd in their respective classes.
Had a very relaxing few days watching judging and taking photos.

ADWPCEG Summer Show - 20th June

Had the most amazing day,if somewhat emotional. Paddock Dianthus(Di) won the section B championship,went Overall Purebred and Overall pure and part bred with Dukeshill Darcy Reserve to her.
Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(Susie) was Reserve Section B and Overall Youngstock of show.

Alyth Agricultural Show - 19th June

After the weeks tragedy of losing fuzzy,decided to just bit the bullet and get out there showing again. took 3 ponies Kudos Contessa(pinky),Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie) and Rosedust Fairytale(Tally).
All 3 ponies won their classes,in the In Hand championship Pinky got champion and Susie Reserve then they went overall and Reserve Overall M & M.

RIP - ROSEDUST LITTLE FAIRYGOLD(FUZZY) - 15th June

It is with great sadness that i write this news.I lost my beautiful Fuzzy to Acute Grass Sickness Today.You were my pony of a lifetime and i will never forget you. RIP my darling Fuzzy (the photo below was taken 2 weeks prior to her death)

Angus Agricultural Show - 12th June

Had another very successful day today,took Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(susie) and Paddock Dianthus(Di).
Both ponies won their classes and Di went M & M In Hand champion and Supreme M & M.So was over the moon.
Well done to Alison with Daisy getting reserve supreme M & M to Di.

Central & West Fife Agricultural Show - 5th June

Once again we had another scorcher of a day. Took 3 ponies today, Paddock Dianthus(Di)was 2nd in a very large strong stallion mare or gelding class,Kudos Contessa(Pinky) was on great form and won her yearling section A class and finally Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(Susie) won her class,went welsh champion and Reserve Supreme of the Show.

Bonnyton Show

Rosedust Fairytale got her first outing since August 2009. She was 1st in a class of 12 small and large M & M's then went section Champion.

Fife Agricultural Show - 22nd May

This was our first Agricultural show of the season and it was blessed with scorching sunshine,it was actually too hot at times.
Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony was 2nd in an extremely strong small breeds youngstock class to Waxwing stud's lovely palomino colt.
Paddock Dianthus again excelled herself and was 1st in the small breeds 4 years and over class and went onto be Reserve Champion of the M & M section to the Waxwing Stud and in process getting her Blair Qualifier.

Inchcoonans Show - 8th May

Decided to take Kudos Contessa(Pinky) along to a local show today to spend some quality time with her as we usually have so many other ponies at shows.
Was really pleased with her she won her class and was Champion M & M.

NECWPCA Silver Medal Show,Barnard Castle,County Durham - 3rd May

Decided to venture a bit further afield for NECWPCA Silver Medal show. Left at 2am and had a very easy journey down.
First on was Paddock Dianthus(Di) who really went well considering she has not done much showing and she got a 2nd.
Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony(Susie) was in a strong class of 3 year old filly's and was really pleased that she was 1st.
I also showed Rosedust Black Viola for Alison and she was 3rd in a well filled yearling filly class to eventual supreme youngstock champion.
Big congratulations to Alison getting Reserve Supreme younstock of show with Merieston Daisy Duke.
Really enjoyed this show even though we encountered a few showers of hailstones and it was a very tiring day.

SWPCA Bronze Medal Show - 18th April

What a start to 2010 show season. took 3 ponies today.
Paddock Dianthus was attending her first show in 5 years and was champion adult section B,overall section B,winning her first WPCS Bronze medal and she finally went onto be Reserve Supreme Adult.
Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony was champion section B youngstock,Reserve overall section B, Supreme Youngstock of show and Reserve Supreme of Show.
Kudos Contessa was 6th in a hotly contested Section A yearling class.

National Stallion Show - 6th March

Well after an extremely early start of getting up at 4am.Set of with Kudos Contessa(Pinky) and Goldenwood Showgirl(Lara).
First in was Pinky who behaved and showed herself off so well and gained her first red rosette of 2010.Lara was in an extremely strong class of mainly colts and got 3rd.
In championship Pinky was a wee star and got reserve champion. So a good first show of 2010 after not making it to Royal Northern spring show.

New Arrival - 30th January

Today saw the arrival of Paddock Dianthus,Welsh Section B 6 year old grey mare leased for 2010 from Mr Brian Fotheringham.Looking forward to getting this lovely mare into the showring.
